The Ames 2917200 Saw-Tooth Border Edger is an efficient and fast way to create and maintain flowerbed borders and clean cut grass. The edger has a 4.5 inch blade and is lightweight (3.6 lbs.). The handle is well designed and easy to grip. The blade is sharp and can scrape up weeds out of cracks in sidewalks. The process of use is placing the blade next to the sidewalk to be trimmed, with shaft straight up vertically against the edge of the sidewalk, then stomping straight down on the edger shearing off any overhanging grass or sod, repeating the cutting process along the sidewalk until finished. The price varies but purchasing from a warehouse is recommended. Customers have raved about the quick, efficient and beautiful edge produced by the edger. However, for some people, the tool can be strenuous and not suitable for those who are not able to put pressure on their legs or knees. Made in China.
