The Cuisiland Large Heavy Duty Cast Iron Bread & Loaf Pan is a perfect baking companion for professional and home bakers. The interior dimensions are 12.28" x 9.37" x 5.12", making it ideal for baking bread of all sizes. It is pure cast iron, which means it can withstand high temperatures of up to 450°F. Before using the pan, it is recommended that one seasons it to make sure the bread does not stick. A thin layer of high smoke point oil (such as refined coconut, peanut, canola, or avocado oil) should be applied to all surfaces of the pan. It should then be placed in a cold oven and baked at 450°F for 1.5 hours over a sheet or foil pan on a shelf below the cookware to catch any oil drips. The oven should be turned off, and the cookware should be allowed to cool down to room temperature inside the oven. This process should be repeated 3-5 times to achieve the preferred anti-stick performance. The pan weighs 14.9 pounds with both bottom and top, which might be heavy, but it provides excellent heat distribution. It rivals the coveted Challenger bread pan for less than half the price.
