Answer: Sorry it comes as a set. -

Is there a way to just buy the packing tool?
Answer: Chopstick: beveled end for making a nice rigid pack just above the filter then use square end for tamping the rest down. The trick is not too tight...not too loose. You’ll figure it out by the third try. -

Answer: The way it flares out at the top, should work fine for both. -

Answer: I have not experienced this issue. I roll between my fingers as I pack with the stick. I hope this helps.
