Unfortunately, the volume cannot be turned off and there is no option for muting the sound while still having the lights signal the interval. The timer is not battery-operated and only supports 110v. There have been reports of loose/faulty wiring and poor product quality. Despite these issues, the timer has received positive feedback in terms of functionality and ease of use.
