Answer: Yes, the dishes and their lids are safe for the dishwasher and can move among the oven, microwave, refrigerator, and freezer. -

Does the product come with a warranty?

I want to make sure this entire set is made in the USA? Lids and containers? It's difficult to find CorningWare made in the USA anymore! Thanks!
Answer: This is a very nice Quality made set, I gave it as a gift---no complaints. I purchased a cup with lid for myself to take liquid substance food to work for lunch, never leaked out of the top and microwaves perfect. Highly recommended. I also am a stickler for purchasing USA made items, you can not go wrong with this one. Good luck. B -
Question:
Do they get hot to the touch in the microwave like glass does?
Answer: I don't think it gets as hot as glass in the microwave, but it does get warm/hot where the food touches the CorningWare. I can usually take the cups out by the handle. If I were to put it in the oven I would expect the whole thing to be to hot to handle without an oven mitt. -

I love these and have multiple sets of both sizes. After a while, the lids start to breakdown. Can lids be ordered separately?
Answer: These microwaveable flip up lids can be ordered by themselves on a website called www.classickitchensandmore.com, they have all sorts of old and discontinued items, all pretty much made in the USA too!nThey're located in York, PA. -

Are the lids BPA FREE?
Answer: Mine came with the lids, but as a caveat, I purchased way back in Dec 2013. I know this is going to sound strange, but I suggest you NOT microwave the lids as much as you can. My previous lids became brittle and cracked over time (years of use). Perhaps Corning changed the material they used, but I am careful with mine. -

Can I pressure cook food with the lids on? Seam vent closed or open? The bowls themselves with foil pressure cook well
Answer: To a certain degree things will be cooked hotter/faster with the lid sealed vs open. These are great ceramics for liquids - bolder coffees and teas, less mess for mug cakes, leftovers, heating lunches. -

Are the lids interchangeable?
Answer: No, the bowl is wider than the mug, so the lids are different. -
Question:
Do these leak if you take them to work?
Answer: I use these almost daily for work, and no, they have not leaked. I have a mug, bowl, and oval. Shopping for a new bowl because, after 5-6 years, I put my thumb through the lid trying to open it. The bowl is still fine. That is the only complaint. -
Question:
How difficult are the lids to remove? Due to Parkinsons, I am looking for a lid that is fairly easy to grasp and remove.
Answer: They are not easy to remove. That said, the large lip on one side coupled with the blue pop that releases the air vacuum seal, makes it as easy as can be designed.

The set is made in the USA, and it's recommended to not microwave the lid too frequently. The lids can be purchased separately on a website called www.classickitchensandmore.com. The bowls are wider than the mugs and, therefore, not interchangeable. This set is great for liquids and cooking without making a mess, heating lunches, and storing leftovers. However, over time, the lids may become brittle and crack.
