Maine tops the list as the safest state for the parcels with 11.6% of packages reported stolen. While Maine boasts the lowest theft rate, it contrasts with having the highest average stolen package value of $80 among the top 10 states.

Wisconsin is the 2nd on the list of the safest states for the parcels with a 13.2% theft rate. Although its theft rate is slightly higher than Maine's, its average stolen package value is considerably lower at $50.

Ranking 7th on the list of the safest states for the parcels, South Dakota also offers a safe environment with a theft rate of 14.4%. The state returns to the average stolen package value of $50. It is also the state with the lowest searches for parcel theft.
