Answer: Thanks for asking! Our Butter-Flavored Shortening Sticks have an unopened shelf life of 2 years from the date they are produced which is reflected by the Best Before date printed on the long side of the plastic tub. Once opened, we recommend using them within 6 months. We hope this helps! -

Answer: I have never tried to freeze Crisco, but I have frozen margarine. Crisco seems to last forever, so I wouldn't see the need. -

Answer: I only use Crisco for baking cookies, pie crusts, etc. when baking. I use natural ingredients like butter in other recipes like candy and fudge. A dairy free fudge may be challenging, but Fleishmans has a dairy free margarine you might try.
