    Answer: No, the Perfect Defense is not a detangler product.

    Answer: That is exactly how I used it. My hairdresser first used it on me and recommended it. I bought it, used it on my dry hair and it seemed to prevent any damage to my hair and made straight ironing easier.
  • Question: Is the bottle metal or plastic?

    Answer: Metal. Love this product!!!
  • Question: Does this reduce dry time?

    Answer: I don’t think it reduces dry time. It’s a heat protectant for your hair. Can be used on damp hair when blow drying or on dry hair prior to using a curling iron or straightener, which is how I used it.
  • Question: Does this moisturize dry damaged hair even if I don’t use hot tools?

    Answer: The Perfect Defense is formulated to protect the hair against heat products. If you do not use heat products in your hair care routine, you do not need to use this product. For dry and damaged hair, we recommend checking out our Moisture Repair Collection!
  • Question: I just got this. How do I get the product out of the container?

    Answer: When you first go to use the product, there is a small plastic seal connecting the nozzle to the can. You will have to press down on the nozzle with a little pressure to break this seal and dispense the product.
  • Question: There is a tiny white tab in the back and a wider white tab in the front under the sprayer. Do we break the wider one in the front?

    Answer: All our aerosol products come with a small plastic seal that attaches the outer rim of the bottle to the part you press down to release the product. This ensures the product does not accidentally dispense in transit. To break this seal, you must simply place the bottle on a flat surface and press down hard once. This will break the seal and allow you to use the product.
  • Question: Is this recommended for dry hair even if I don’t use hot tools?

    Answer: Not that I know of. I use it before I blow dry or flat iron my hair to prevent heat damage. Work really well, not greasy and leaves my hair feeling soft.
  • Question: Does anyone else have a problem with residue? My flat iron is caked with this product.
