It does its job well and is an affordable alternative to the more expensive StewMac product. It's important to note that if you're working with an unmounted fretboard, you may need to improvise a flat caul. Otherwise, this tool comes with plenty of neck cauls in different shapes to accommodate various fretboards. It's easy to use, and you don't need to make it super tight - just snug on the fret to press it down on all sides and center into the fret slot. This product is not recommended for use in the tongue area of an acoustic guitar near the sound hole, but it works well for the rest of the neck.
