The 2.5x10 inch filter housing is a versatile and high-quality product that can be used for a variety of purposes. It comes with sponges but using media bags with fine carbon is recommended to prevent clogging. The foam piece goes on top of the media and the housing has a 2.5" inside diameter. It has 3/4" inlet and outlet ports and the use of isolation valves during filter changes is suggested. It can hold 1kg of 5mm polyphosphate balls, making it ideal for hard water conditioning or aquarium treatments.
