The DXO ONE is an interesting concept that connects to any iPhone with a lightning connection. It is reputed for its pre-edit zoom and better performance compared to the iPhone X in low light. However, it is not for you if you rely on mobile devices for capturing images as it is a serious battery drainer. It has a loose lightning connection between the camera and phone, which can cause the camera to separate from the phone if not well held. The camera's software is not robust, and the battery life is short. The proprietary raw format pictures are excellent, but the app support is questionable as the camera is no longer in production. The battery is not easy to replace. The camera is a backup most of the time, and the time it takes to take it out and take a picture is impractical. Overall, it is a great product with potential, but the implementation and loose lightning connection make it hard to evaluate fully.
